(DRUM ROLL PLEASE!) THE 100 MOST EXPLOSIVE VIDEOS OF 2012!…………………………. 100. Ludacris “Rest Of My Life” Feat. Usher & David Guetta: Let’s kick off this 2012 countdown with the return of the “Mouf of the South”. Rapper, Actor,….Motivational Speaker? Southern rap star Ludacris returned to his roots in late 2012 with help from Southern brother Usher and No. 1 DJ David Guetta, giving us a reason to enjoy life in 2013 with “Rest Of My Life”. Luda steps out of his comfort zone a little bit for the video, but he wants everyone to know that whether today your last day on this earth or if you got plenty of years ahead of you, live your life to the fullest. 99. The Weeknd “The Zone” Feat. Drake: Any video that actually features an appearance from The Weeknd has to make it on this list, that’s how mysterious his aurora is. The 2012 version of Prince and Canada’s favorite rapper got together and scored with the music video “The Zone”. The video was directed by The Weeknd himself and until Drake comes in and spits his verse, you woulda had to have either been a longtime fan or on molly’s to understand it. It’s okay though no one ever understood Prince either and look how well he turned out. 98. Joey Bada$$ “FROMDATOMB$”: This video takes you back to the early 90’s when artist like CL Smooth, LL Cool J, Slick Rick, and Rakim were ruling the rap scene. He may be only 17 years old, but New York MC Joey Bada$$ is defiantly bringing back classic old school hip-hop with his video “FROMDATOMB$”. The video was shot around Brooklyn, NY with old school camera angles and images. With the underground success of his mixtape “1999”, Bada$$ is destined for superstardom in 2013. Keep a lookout for JB as he plans to release new music with his group “Pro Era” in December 2012. 97. Kid Ink “Is It You”: I’ll be your groupie baby, as long as you’re my superstar. Rapper Kid Ink is wondering if he did or did not see the lady of his dream in the video “Is It You”. Now usually at a concert, the person performing catches the eye of the people in attendance, but not this time as out of millions of screaming women, Ink finds this one girl that just steals his heart. Kid Ink spends the rest of the video auditing models for a future video shoot but comes across one girl that he feels is the one girl that he saw the night before at his concert. is-it-you-banner-jpg 96. French Montana “Shot Caller (Remix) Feat. Diddy & Rick Ross: THIS IS THE REMIX! (DIDDY VOICE) Thanks to the success of the single “Shot Caller” Bad Boy artist French Montana decided to take advice from his mentor and come out with the remix courtesy of “Shot Caller (Remix)”. The video features two of the hottest moguls in the game in Diddy and Rick Ross, and we can’t forget how sexy label mate Cassie is not doing anything in the video. 95.Nas “Bye Baby”: Sometimes you gotta just cut your losses and take things as a lesson in life. Nas shows us that sometimes even love is not enough in the video “Bye Baby”. The Queens MC’s uses the video to go in detail about his marriage and divorce from music artist Kelis. Eventhough they didn’t make, Nas let us know that he wouldn’t change anything he done. Even though there was bad times, there was also good times. 94. Cris Cab “Good Girls (Don’t Grow On Trees)” Feat. Big Sean: YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU GOT TIL IT GONE! Singer Cris Cab with a little help from Big Sean, tells you the story about how he had a good girl, but his promiscuous ways caused him to lose her leaving him with nothing but regret in “Good Girls (Don’t Grow On Trees)”. Cris explains how this song should be used as a cautionary tale because let’s face it……good girls don’t grow on trees. 93. Flo Rida “I Cry”: Flo Rida goes back to where it all began in the music video “I Cry”. Carol City, FL! The place where only dreams a little kid has out there is just surviving to see another day. Flo Rida goes back to his old neighborhood to show kids that they too can make it out of Carol City and make something of themselves if they just work hard enough. 92. Mumford and Sons “Lover Of The Light”: Mumford and Sons had another big year music wise as their album “Sigh No More” was one of the top 10 best-selling albums of 2012. But the folk band took a very creative unexpected turn for their video “Lover Of The Light” when they tabbed British actor Idris Elba to star and direct the music video. Elba plays a lonely man completely out of touch with reality. With suicidal thoughts on his mind, Elba gets all dressed up goes out into the world preparing for his final act. 91.Trindad Jame$ “All Gold Everything”: How does this dude go to the bathroom with all that gold on? Trinidad Jame$ reminds me a lot of the character Teddy from the movie “ATL” but WAY more hood. From the top of his head to the bottom of his feet Jame$ is dripped in gold which only makes it fitting that he names the video “All Gold Everything”. Trinidad is in for a big 2013 as just signed a $2 million dollar deal with Def Jam, which makes a lot of gold jewelers very happy. 90. David Sabstian “Plankin On My D*ck” Feat. Rej3ctz & Mann: Okay here some rachet math for all you to add up. Get a guy with a wild legacy like David Sabstian, add in another bunch of wild cats like the Rej3ctz, mix in a platinum-selling artist such as Mann, then multiply times 5 with the wildest clique on the west coast in “Anti Society” and what do you get? I’ll tell you what you got, you got the wildest music video of 2012! “Plankin On My Dick” has it all Great Verses, White People, Plankin, Pool Party, All Drugs known to mankind, A$AP Rocky, and even the punk ass police. If Project X ever made a hood style version, David Sabstian would play the lead. T.T.F.U! (Turnt The F*ck Up) 89.Swizz Beatz “Everyday Birthday” Feat. Ludacris &Chris Brown: I think I drank too much just looking at this video. Swizz Beatz, Ludacris, and Chris Brown do some hardcore partying in Cannes, France during a film festival. They videotape the entire evening and turned into the music video “Everyday Birthday”. Now they say whatever happens in Mexico stays in Mexico, but maybe that rule should also apply in France as well. 88. Nicki Minaj “The Boys” Feat Cassie: Two years ago, Nicki Minaj said she was gonna take Cassie away from Diddy….She wasn’t joking. The two sexiest women in hip-hop finally got together on a video and made all of our wildest wet dreams come true with “The Boys”. I would say more but that would take time from you watching the video, that’s if I haven’t already lost your attention. 87. Justin Bieber “Beauty and The Beat” Feat. Nicki Minaj: Bieber fever takes over a water park as Justin Bieber gets all soak and wet for Nicki Minaj in “Beauty and The Beat.” In the video directed by Bieber himself, the singer claims that footage was stolen from a video camera and was found by an unknown source who later uploaded the footage onto the internet. The stolen footage shows various clips from a private party that JB is throwing a water park. Grab a towel and put on your swimwear, because this video might leave you very, very wet. 86. Rick Ross “Diced Pineapples” Feat. Wale & Drake: Rozay takes us on an exotic journey with his D. A. B (Down A** B*tch!) in “Diced Pineapples”. Ross takes the baddest bitch that he has ever seen to a private island where he spoils her with drinks on the yacht, shots of ciroc by the pool, and a romantic stroll through a small town. Wale and Drake are also on the island but you will soon see are a little preoccupied with their own dreams girls. 85. Nas “Cherry Wine” Feat. Amy Winehouse: Hip-Hop Icon pays tribute to one of our generations most respected singers in the music video “Cherry Wine”. Nas plays a nightclub bartender waiting on last call, while the walls feature old clips of the late great Amy Winehouse in the background reminding you just how talented the troubled singer truly was. 84. Compton Buck “Future One Night Stand”: DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SWAG YOU GOTTA HAVE TO LET A WOMAN KNOW THAT SHE A FUTURE ONE NIGHT STAND? Compton very own “Compton Buck” was the talk of all the hip hop and radio blogs sites for most of 2012, but everything came full circle when he dropped the video for his hit single “Future One Night Stand”. In the video, Buck plays a young successful mogul who catches the eye of a sexy partygoer enticing her to come back to the mansion for an afterparty. She ditches the lame that she talking to and follows Buck to the after party where they continue to toast to life and get to know each other. Things are successful for Buck as he convinces the partygoer to stay the night to hook up, only to wake up the next morning to see that the beautiful woman had mysteriously vanished realizing that he was indeed….just a one night stand. Bucks-press-photo 83. DJ Drama “#MyMoment” Feat. Jeremih, 2 Chainz, & Meek Mill: AFTER PATIENTLY WAITING FOR SO LONG, DJ DRAMA MOMENT FINALLY COMES THROUGH AT NO. 83! The southern DJ icon comes through with Jeremih, 2 Chainz, and Meek Mill in “#MyMoment”. In the video, Drama showcases his rise through the ranks and what it takes to maintain that top spot. Some people think that once you make in the music biz you don’t have to work anymore. Drama shows that it’s just the opposite, because once you get your moment, you better work your ass off to keep it. 82.The Dream “Dope Chick” Feat. Pusha T: Hip-Hop radio killa returned in a big way in 2012 dropping all kinds of club bangers. None of The Dream hits were bigger than when he got together with Pusha T and created “Dope Chick”. Now we all love a woman who can get all dolled up and be Cinderella, but sometimes we wanna a chick that can rock a fitted hat and put on her J’s and stunt on these lame women. 81. Ryan Leslie “Dress You To Undress You”: G5 MUSIC MEETS SUPERMODEL SEXUALITY! Ryan Leslie allowed ladies to take a peek in a day in the life of the music mogul in the music video “Dress You To Undress You”. In the video, Leslie does his best Ric Flair imitation as he Versace shades wearing, fast car whipping, G5 flying, and foreign money counting with the baddest supermodel on his arm. Things get pretty hot and heavy throughout the entire video showing that when it comes to women, Leslie doesn’t mess around. 80. WZRD “Teleport 2 Me”: I doubt anyone will ever understand the mind of Kid Cudi, but I guess that’s what makes his mojo so dope. Early in 2012 Cudi rock band “WZRD” came out with their debut album and leading the way was their hit single “Teleport 2 Me”. The song was a smash and fans expected an official video to follow shortly thereafter. Now even though fans got to see behind the scenes footage in May, the video wasn’t released until the end of November. No. 80 is a very solid number for a video that debuted so late in the year, but I can only imagine how high this video could have soared if Cudi didn’t sit on it throughout the year. kid-cudi-teleport-2-me DID YOUR FAVORITE VIDEO OF 2012 MAKE OUR COUNTDOWN?
