Last night at the legendary Comedy Cellar, Dave Chappelle made a guest surprise appearance sometime around midnight. The comedian performed for about 45 minutes and when he was just about ready to leave, Chris Rock decided to jump up on stage. “Aw, you lucky motherfuckers,” Rock told the crowd. The two comedians then spent the next hour ripping jokes on an assortment of subjects including: Kevin Hart, Prince, President Obama, the Oscars and Seth MacFarlane. Chappelle then reportedly convinced Chris Rock to text Jay-Z to see if he would like to join them for some late-night spaghetti. When he didn’t respond, the two called and left voice-messages for Arsenio Hall and Lenny Kravitz. The two even discussed possibly touring together. “After next Tuesday, I’m free for like 11 years,” Chappelle told Rock. “I’ve got time between now and the movie (set to start filming in the spring),” Rock responded. “By Halloween, I could do some dates.” Then Marlon Wayans showed up and took part for about 15 minutes before the entire crew called it a night. Rock headed home with a DVD of the club’s recording that night to explain to his wife why he had run so late. “I’ve got proof,” he told the crowd before leaving.
