NICE WHIPS: 2003 NISSAN SKYLINE GTR R34
In 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) was given the nickname “Bullet” when he made a surprise last-min appearance to a street race in Miami in the Nissan SKyline GTR R34. He would go on to win the race, but would shorty lose the car trying to get away from the police. We people may not know is The Nissan’s Skyline GTRR R34 is not officially sold in the United States. So in order to include the Skyline in the movie, the car had to be imported from Japan. Funny thing is, after all the trouble they had to go through bringing the Nissan Skyline GTRs to the United State for filming, The Nissan Skyline GTR R34 Crashes to halt after attempting to outrun the Fed’s after a street race who are targeting him specifically. The Skyline is shot with a special high-voltage dart that turning off all electrical system. Nissan took the mundane Skyline saloon and turned it into a twin-turbo monster with technological wizardry such as 4 wheel drive and steer, computer controlled torque split and active suspension. This technology empowered the GTR with ground breaking handling and performance – enough to make the series GTR the first production car to break 8 minutes to lap the famous Nurgburgring circuit. This final Series 10 version car now has an advanced computer display capable of displaying everything from speed to g force. Although at £54k it is hard to justify the difference over the similarly capable Impreza Turbo and Evo VII.
