But which celebs had the best week of them all? Today, Kaboom! Magazine.com lets you know who star shined the brightest this past week in “Top 10 People of the Week.” Each week, Kaboom! picks 10 celebs, athletes, entertainers, or regular people who we feel had the best week of them all. Chelsea Clinton Starting off the countdown this week is the former first daughter, who’ve become a first time mother. Chelsea Clinton has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with her husband, Marc Mezvinsky. The only child of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton took to Twitter just past midnight on Saturday, September 27 to share the happy news. Both Bill and Hillary retweeted their daughter’s happy announcement. PNI1102 sunsmain 9. Eric Bledsoe After a very long and stressful NBA off-season, NBA star Eric Bledsoe finally lands the No. 9 spot this week with a new NBA contact. The restricted free-agent guard recently reached an agreement on a five-year, $70 million contract extension with the Phoenix Suns. Communication between Bledsoe and the Suns has been non-existent through a summer stalemate in extension talks and Wednesday’s visit with Suns executives was a significant development in the final thawing needed to close on a new deal. D2: The Mighty Ducks Cast This past week, we all relived one of our favorite childhood movies earning themselves the No. 8 spot on the countdown. The cast of “D2: The Mighty Ducks” celebrated the 20th anniversary of the popular hockey movie with a reunion over the weekend. Two decades after the sports flick which tells the story of an American team defeating Iceland’s group in the Junior Goodwill Games was released, the cast members assembled and recreated the Flying V formation in the movie. Marguerite Moreau, who played Connie Moreau in the film, shared some sweet photos from the nostalgic event on Instagram. According to the list posted by Moreau, the weekend reunion was attended by Scott Whyte, Aaron Schwartz, Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine, Mike Vitar, Stephen Herek who directed the first movie, Vincent LaRusso, Elden Henson, Carsten Norgaard, producer Jordan Kerner, Brandon Adams, Danny Tomberelli, Aaron Lohr, Maria Ellingsen and Matt Doherty. BET “106 & Park” host Bow Wow is engaged to VH1 “Love & Hip-Hop: New York” star Erica Mena after dating less than six months. Arriving at the red carpet of 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, Erica was asked by Jack Thriller if Bow was her boyfriend. She then replied, “He’s actually my fiance.” The couple reportedly first met when Erica appeared on Bow’s show “106 & Park” back in February. At that time, Bow shared a kiss with Erica on air. Dr. Dre The beat goes on this week as the countdown will showcase the genius of West Coast godfather Dr. Dre at the No. 5 spot. Another year is in the books, and Forbes has released it’s annual “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” list. As expected, coming off the monster $3 billion deal with Apple, Dr. Dre and his Beats By Dre brand take the top spot with an unheard of $620 million. George Clooney One of the most elusive bachelors in American history finally got tied down over the weekend earning himself the No. 4 spot on the countdown. George Clooney is officially a married man. The 53-year-old star, suiting up in Armani, exchanged wedding vows with his lawyer fiancee Amal Alamuddin, 36, in a star-studded ceremony taking place at the 16th Century hotel Aman Canal Grande in Venice, Italy Saturday, September 27. They tied the knot after sunset in front of a large wall of white candles. The nuptials was officiated by the groom’s close friend Walter Veltroni, the former mayor of Rome. The actor’s parents George and Nina were in attendance, along with the bride’s parents Ramzi and Baria. After raking in more than 4 million pre-orders, Apple‘s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus finally landed in stores this past Friday, ultimately selling more than 10 million units over the course of its opening weekend availability — a new record for the company. The latest iPhone’s sales have exceeded last year’s opening weekend sales of 9 million units for the iPhone 5s and are double that of the iPhone 5‘s back in 2012. Niykee-Heaton-Bad-Intentions-2014-1000x1000 2. Niykee Heaton We got very bad intentions for this week No. 2, as we feature the newest music sensation Ms. Niykee Heaton. Considered by many as the “Next Jhene Aiko,” Heaton debut new music this past week in the form of debut EP entitled “Bad Intentions” under Russell Simmons’ new music venture All Def Music. Gaining worldwide fame creating an R&B sound to Chief Keef tracks on YouTube, Heaton’s Bad Intentions EP takes her rather breathy vocals and stretches them over six tracks from the pop tinged lead track “Sober,” to the guitar and lyric driven “Rolling Stone, and the title track itself. Derek-Jeter 1. Derek Jeter There’s only one person that deserves the No. 1 spot on our countdown this week and it’s arguably the greatest sports figure of the 20th century. After a 20 year career as shortstop for the New York Yankees, “The Captain” Derek Jeter has finally played in his final home game at Yankee stadium. Jeter’s career is filled with nothing but great Yankees championship moments, but even though his last at bat wasn’t for world series ring, Jeter still was able to end his career with one last championship moment. With the game tied at 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth, Jeter delivered the game-winning hit for the New York Yankees against the Baltimore Orioles, as Antoan Richardson scored from second base to give the Yankees the 6-5 win.
