The holiday season is upon us and that means 2014 is quickly coming to an end. In honor of 2014, Kaboom! Magazine.com is getting together some of our favorite musicians, actors, fashion designers, models, athletes, and entertainment personality for our annual “Year-in-Review” feature. We will be asking some of our favorite celebs their favorite moments of the year and how they are preparing for an explosive 2015. Today, we got the chance to catch up with one of the hottest models in the world in 2014 Ms. Courtney Maye. This year alone, Courtney was seen in various different magazines from Kaboom! Magazine all the way to Maxim. Today, she talks to us about why she was so flawless in 2014 and why she knows that nothing will stand in her way in 2015. Beyonce What is the most valuable lesson you learned in 2014? Love is the ultimate expression of life. It is the essence and ground of all creation. What was your biggest achievement of 2014? I wish I was able to travel more, I worked so much this year it went by too fast! Funniest thing you saw in 2014? I went parasailing in Florida with a group of people. One of the girls lost her bottoms as she was gliding through the sky! I felt so bad for her! But it was so funny I couldn’t help but laugh! (Laughs) Best concert or sporting event you attended in 2014? On The Run Tour. Jay Z and Beyonce put on a great performance. Most Shocking Moment of 2014? The verdict on the Eric Garner case. I was shocked to see the video and even more shocked when the verdict was released. If you could leave one thing behind in 2014, it would be…..? Stress, it always has a way of quietly creeping in. (Laughs) if something or someone stresses me more than making me happy, I have to leave it behind. Best Meal of 2014? I went to San Diego for the weekend and found this restaurant called Trulucks. They have the best lobster mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted. Favorite Book of 2014? #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso. It’s a really good read for any young lady trying to build a name for herself. It’s super inspiring. Favorite Movie of 2014? This year I barely had time to go to the movies. I really liked “The Wolf of Wall Street”. They are both filled with new surprises and they keep me on my toes. (Laughs) I’ve been obsessed with both of those series since they’ve been released. Favorite Album of 2014? Jhene Aiko “Souled Out” She has been one of my all-time favorite artist for years now. I can really relate her lyrically and her voice is so angelic. Favorite Music Video of 2014? Beyonce “Partition” The video is super sexy and she’s just amazingly talented. Her videos are always very creative and unique. Favorite Shoes of 2014? This is a hard question to answer. I am a huge fan of shoes. I can’t even count how many pairs I own. This year, my favorite shoe designer was Jimmy Choo. He has the cutest strappy heels. Favorite Website of 2014? I am in love with Pinterest! I’m on it at least once a day trying to find new recipes or fun things to make. Favorite Technology of 2014? iPhone 6, because I can’t live without my phone and It’s the only device I use every day all day. (Laughs) Favorite Social Media of 2014? Instagram! I like the fact that pictures leave a lot of room for curiosity and imagination. What are you most looking forward to in 2015? I feel like 2015 is a new chapter of my life to indulge in. I’m excited for new beginnings in my personal life. I feel like career wise I’m ready to capitalize on what I have already built. I also feel like there’s always room for improvement and to learn more about myself. All of that alone, keeps me excited to get the new year started. Why should we lookout for you in 2015? With 2014 coming to an end I have been putting a lot of thought into the next year. I have already started on multiple projects and I cannot wait to show everyone all my new work. I love creating and developing new things. I’m constantly trying to be innovative while still being true to myself. I like to push myself to do new things, I feel like doing that makes me unique. When I work, I work to inspire. Words of Wisdom heading into 2015?
