Making it very hard to find a good professional photographer, let alone the best of them all. For the past 3 years, Kaboom! Magazine.com has showcased the talents of elite photographers such as Van Styles, Nick Saglimbeni, Vanessa Cabillias, Max Thompson, Ohrangutang, and many more with our popular “Photographers You Should Pose With” Series. This year, Kaboom! Magazine.com raises the stake as we presents “Picture Perfect VI! 40 Photographers You Have To Pose with in 2016.” For 40 days, Kaboom! will individually showcase 40 of the best photographers around and tell you why you would be crazy not to pose for them by the end of this year. Today coming in at #21, we will be displaying the picture perfect talents of photographer Tristan Manas.

Photography Background:
Tristan’s creative side began making birthday cards for his mother and drawing up his own comic books when he was 6 years old. He quickly moved up to developing video skills as the family ‘video guy’ filming family events and home movies the old camcorder using hi8 tapes. Tristan quickly got acquainted with camera work, camera angles and bad singing. Once he started secondary school, Tristan upgraded to painting, graphic design, media studies and Photography where he learned to understand different aspects of the creative arts. From painting exhibition based on traditional Maori carvings, designed all the advertising material for an awareness event about physical abuse, created his first music video to learning how to develop photographs using a dark room. After secondary school, he Studied at The University of Otago (New Zealand… yup) and achieved a Bachelor Degree in Arts. Tristan majored in Film and media studies and minored in Graphic Design. He quickly excelled and started creating short films while studying at Otago competing in the annual Mothra film festival. Winning 14 awards from 2005-2009 Where he managed to form a solid film crew and ventured to other film competitions like the 48 hour film festival where we made top 10 three times and won Best Editor in 2014. While producing television Tristan decided to study and fit in a Diploma in Photography. Expanding through the creative industry he started gaining experience shooting landscape, documentaries, art, music, events, fashion catalogue, look books, weddings and commercial work. Photography work which has now moved to model portfolios and even finding his own style. His photography work has been expanding online and has been recognize in magazines locally and international.
