Some of your favorite locations for photoshoots: My recent trip to Miami beach was definitely one of them! Everything in Miami beach is full of color and the models are stunning! Going back ASAP.
If you could have one photoshoot with one person (past or present) who it would have to be with…..: Been dying to shoot with the homie @Ohrangutang, dude seems like he has way to much fun! Plus I’ve heard him and his girl are a dynamic duo, I can relate!

Tell us a little bit about where you come from?
I live only a few blocks from the beach in Jersey! Cold ass winters but in the summer definitely one of the spots to be!

Growing up did you always want to be a photographer or did you have other dreams?
When I growing up I practically lived on my skateboard. I had dreams of making it big. It wasn’t until after I stopped skating that I picked up a camera as more then a hobby.

What was the first camera that you received?
I got a Nikon D60 for Christmas one year! I was stoked!

What type of photography education have you’ve had?
I took a few classes on the history of photography. As for learning how to use a camera, I taught myself. Trial and Error is the name of the game, I’m still learning!

Describe your style of photography?
I describe my style of photography as “sexy/fun” portraits with a dab of color!

How did you get into photography?
Ive always been a skateboarder, so filming skate videos and shooting photos came second hand. You end up building an eye for angles and composition doing so. I wanted to create on my own so a got myself a crappy DSRL.

Are there any photographers or artists who have inspired your work?
Sooo many!! A few favorites, @partylikejzl @ohrangutang @misscheeeeks @tirro_ @mikelrob @loudphoto @1llest

When you photograph individual subjects, how much time do you spend researching and getting to know them first?
Im constantly in contact with several models at a time planning outfits, locations, and dates. That way we can bounce ideas & inspiration off each other setting the vibe for the shoot.

Do you still remember your first photoshoot?
Oh god. I don’t know if i’d call it a “photoshoot” (Laughs)

Do you remember the moment when you realized that you were actually a talented photographer?
Hahah well hey thanks for the compliment but I don’t think there is an actual moment that hits you. You’re only competing against yourself to better yourself.

What is the wildest moment you’ve ever had during a photoshoot?
(Laughs) So locations are always such a struggle so I’m constantly on the look out for new spots. I found this underpass with railroad tracks under the Garden state Parkway and thought it had potential. I found a model that i thought would suit the location and headed there the next day. We did a few looks on and off and tracks, not long before having the conductor stop the train in the middle of the tracks, get off the train and SCREAM at us. We were escorted off the tracked and informed that we had shut down NJ Transit for the pass hour. Dispatchers were going nuts!

Sexiest photoshoot you’ve ever been apart of?
Easily getting kicked out of the pool of the resort we were staying in in Miami! Like WHAT?!?! Its Miami!! Way to go @misscheeeeks 😉

Over the years, did you ever encounter famous people who were very difficult to shoot?
Looking forward to it! 😉

How has social media influence your career?
The only source of social media I use Is Instagram. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for @instagram. It has opened so many opportunities for young artists like myself to express our work and be noticed.

Social media and photographers can be very profitable and very risky at times. Can you tell inspiring photographers some of the Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to involving your photography with social media?
There are WAYY TO MANY stories about guy photographers being to “touchy” with models, its getting out of hand. Social Media shouldn’t be a mask to do so. It should be a way to express art and be inspired by others. DON’T try to do what everyone else is doing out there. DO your own thing.

Where is the most fascinating place you’ve been to do a photoshoot?
In San Fran we shot on top a of abandoned Navel base. The view was incredible.

Explain how you come up with ideas for projects such as Videos /Photoshoots?
Im constantly being inspired by others work! Also the little things, a dope new pair of shades, or a bright colorful jacket and I’m in!

Do you coach or talk to your subjects about the expressions they will be making, or do you capture the spontaneous expressions from your conversation with them?
I do little of both. A lot of the time i will help direct with hands, torso, butt. But I feel like facial expressions should come from instinct of the model.

What’s your single favorite photo that you’ve captured, and what’s the story behind it?
“Don’t be afraid to show your true colors” – This was a photo of my girlfriend @misscheeeeks with colorful tears because this photo not only gives off such a erie mood but also has such a strong meaning behind it.

When you’re not working with models or capturing some of peoples greatest moments, what do you do in your spare time?
(Laughs) Editing their god damn photos!!

How often do travel?
Not enough.

Besides your equipment, what is one thing that you must have when you travel?
Mmmm probably my phone, I’m miserable at traveling.

Have you ever been starstruck by one of your subjects?
I wouldn’t say starstruck, just a friendly reminder to get my ass to a gym!

What are some of your ultimate goals that you would like to achieve being a photographer?
I want to continue working and improving in my photography. I also would like to travel more and work with all these bigger models reaching out thinking I’m from the area! Ultimate Goal: West Coast.

How can people book you for their next photoshoot?
Booking/Inquires Email: hellothatdeeguy@gmail.com

What’s next for you?
A beer, this was a long interview!
