Birdman & Mannie Fresh Announced To Reunite After 14 Years as Big Tymer$ For One Night Only in Chicago

In partnership with Red Bull, Chicago’s well-known Hip-Hop website Fake Shore Drive hosts a historic evening of epic portion this November as they reunite iconic Cash Money Records Bryan “Birdman” Williams and former in-house producer Mannie Fresh, best known as the multi-platinum selling duo The Big Tymer$ for a one night special in support of the music news outlet’s 10-year anniversary.

After 14 years since sharing a stage together as the hit making duo. The reunion is in support of Red Bull Sound Select popular live show series 30 Days in Chicago. Performing alongside the New Orleans legends is rising star Detroit’s own Tee Grizzley.

As the Big Tymer$, Baby and Mannie Fresh had a over a decade of timeless hits including, “Still Fly”, “#1 Stunna”, “Get Yo Roll On”, and “Oh Yeah”. Together, the duo figure headed the South sound alongside the Cash Money dynasty of legendary New Orleans recording artists B.G., Juvenile, Young Turk, and the soon-to-be Best Rapper Alive Lil Wayne.

Celebrating 10-years of greatness and groundbreaking curation, Fake Shore Drive has been responsible for introducing many of Chicago’s biggest stars like Chance the Rapper, Chief Keef, Vic Mensa, whom have went on to become world-renowned chart-topping superstars. Til this day, Fake Shore Drive continues to influence Chicago Hip-Hop onto the mainstream media as a well-known new pillar of Chicago music.

Could this be just a one-time thing or could this be the sign of the iconic Cash Money Records coming back together? Over the past several years, former Cash Money acts like Lil Wayne, Juvi, Mannie Fresh, and Turk have shared the stage like when LeBron James invited them to perform at his 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend event. But never Birdman alongside any of the former CMM.

The reunion show takes place November 4th 2017 inside the Portage Theater.

Big Tymer$ last album together came in the 2003 Cash Money release, ‘Big Money Heavyweight’.
