Americans Spent $6.6 Billion on Cyber Monday, Setting a New Record
This year, Cyber Monday became the biggest online shopping day in US history, with an estimated $6.6 billion in sales. That is a 17% increase over last year, according to Adobe. Comparatively, Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day produced online sales of $5 billion USD and $2.9 billion, respectively. According to Adobe, the Nintendo Switch, its title Super Mario Odyssey, Apple AirPods, Google Chromecast, Roku, Samsung tablets, Apple iPads, Sony PlayStation VR, and the Microsoft Xbox One X sold most this year. Toys including PJ Masks and Hatchimals Collectibles figurines, Funko Pop dolls, L.O.L. Surprise dolls, and ride-on cars were among the most sold as well.
