JAY-Z Files Trademark for Paper Planes Brand

JAY-Z‘s S. Carter Enterprises has filed documents to acquire the rights to Roc Nation‘s apparel brand Paper Planes. It appears Jigga is looking to secure the brand’s logo for retail distribution, which can currently be seen featured on numerous pieces of apparel including athletic gym bags, tour books, jewelry, as well as upcoming projects with New Era and Puma.

The logo was created by JAY-Z’s business partner Emory Jones, who is Head of Lifestyle over at Roc Nation. This isn’t the only case Jigga has filed documents for, as he is currently in a battle to secure the rights to his “Jaybo” character from “The Story of O.J.”
