IMDb Launches Free Streaming Service Freedive

IMDb has launched a new streaming service called Freedive, an ad-supported streaming service for television and films that requires no subscription. Freedive offers a collection of series like Heroes and Without a Trace alongside feature films such as MementoResident Evil: ApocolypseTrue Romance, and more.

Naturally, Freedive can be accessed via mobile and computer, but also with Amazon Fire TVdevices. IMDb’s native video content, like celebrity interviews, shows like Casting Calls and The IMDb Show, will now be bundled into Freedive. It will also be powered by a feature called X-Ray, which offers cast, crew, and music details for whatever content you’re enjoying.

Although the Amazon-owned company already has a similar service in Prime–Freeform won’t require an account or payment, as it earns money strictly by way of advertisement. The service is live on IMDb’s website and can be found on Fire TV devices via a new icon on the “Your Apps & Channels” row.
