Sundance to Show Michael Jackson Sexual Abuse Documentary

Sundance to Show Michael Jackson Sexual Abuse Documentary

According to reports, the 2019 Sundance Film Festival is set to show a documentary centered around claims of Michael Jackson‘s sexual abuse.

Leaving Neverland, by producer-director Dan Reed, chronicles the story of two young boys and their relationship with the King of Pop. Breaking down their seemingly innocent relationships, the two, who are now in their 30s, describe how they were sexually abused by Jackson and note how they came to terms with their abuse.

Ahead of the screening, Michael Jackson’s estate has released an official statement, discrediting the documentary as “yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson.”

The 2019 Sundance Film Festival will be held January 24 in Park City, Salt Lake City. Check out the full list of films to be shown at the festival at sundance.org.
