TEEN WOLF REGULAR MOVES TO CW’S ARROW TO PLAY RED ARROW

Green Arrow is getting a sidekick on CW’s Arrow. The new hit series will be getting a new addition to the cast as the series bring in fan favorite character Roy Harper/Red Arrow into the live-action series. Playing the Red Arrow will be MTV’s Teen Wolf regular Colton Haynes.

In the DC Comics, Red Arrow/Roy Harper is Green Arrow’s very complicated sidekick. Over the years Speedy has went through a lot of changes in both name and character development. Suffered drug addiction, serious injury, and deaths in the family.

What will be Speedy’s interaction in the live-action? Haynes’ Harper as “a handsome, street-savvy, teenager from the Glades, the harsh, poverty-stricken portion of Starling City.” Red Arrow will also serve as a love interest for Willa Holland’s Thea Queen – who, in a nod to the comics’ Mia Dearden, already has the nickname Speedy. After the twosome meet unexpectedly, Roy is “destined to become a significant part of her life and an important player in the larger world of Arrow.”

Red Arrow is scheduled to shoot into the mix in early episodes coming 2013.
